Magnificent CoroCraft Sterling, Diamond & Enamel Orchid Brooch

on Hold

NWS 1-1503

~ This magnificent sterling orchid brooch by CoroCraft, is in pristine condition.   The petals of the orchid are beautifully enameled in pastel colors, with shades of lilac, grape, lemon yellow, white  and gold.  Each color has been delicately applied by hand!

~ The veins of the flower hold pavé set, faceted rhinestones, and so does the underside of one, gently curving petal.

~ The center of the extremely 3-dimensional Orchid is tiered with a scalloped base with purple enamel and rows of clear pavé rhinestones. The stamens are depicted with 3 amethyst rhinestone baguettes.

~   The rhinestones are all clear and bright with none missing.  The brooch is ample in size, measuring 2 1/2"x2 3/4".  It is an imposing and majestic brooch....absolutely stunning and in spectacular condition!

~ During World War II, costume jewelry designers were obliged to use sterling silver for their jewelry, as all other metals had been restricted for the war effort. The gold vermeil coating is nearly flawless, exhibiting no wear.

~ Signed "STERLING Coro Craft" with Pegasus on a rectangular cartouche (last photo).
