Stunning Ciner Pavé Diamond & Gold Necklace

NWS 1-1504

~ Smart, chic and dazzling. Think Bond Street, Place Vendôme, Fifth Avenue. Good taste and class never go out of fashion. Ciner is the hâute couturier of superior jewelry. In fact, Ciner is the only company in history that ever converted from the production of fine jewelry to costume pieces exclusively. During the Depression, Ciner used synthetic white sapphires for their diamonds, while all other costumieres were using rhinestones. That's class.

~ This necklace is made of goldtone metal plates that are "invisibly" linked together from underneath. Each plated is a pointed pleat that is smothered with pavé-set, faceted, faux diamonds outlined details of gold.

~ The necklace cleverly disguises its push button shovel clasp, so as not to interrupt the continuous design. Just spectacular.

~ The necklace weighs 276 grams (nearly 10 ounces) - no flimsy piece! - with all the aspects typical of Ciner's extraordinary workmanship. It measures approximately 17" long, with a built-in curvature that makes it hard to measure. It sits right at a woman's collar bone. It measures 1.25" wide.

c. 1970, in excellent condition, all stones are original and perfect.
