Bows on Gold Packages Necklace and Earrings Set

~ This lovely set is very different - actually quite unique. I've never seen anything like it before!  The bows are made of white porcelain, and they look fabulous, with a faceted, round aurora borealis crystal at the center of each

~ There are 5 large bows on the necklace, and each white bow has "engraved" black stripes

~ Each bow is puffed up, as though made by real ribbon! They aren't flat

~ Each bow has been bezel-set into a goldtone metal setting with engraved edging

~ Each bow is set upon a square, gold washed, metal plate that is engraved on both the front and the back with flowers, making them look like little, gift wrapped packages

~ The bows are linked together with wide, flat golden links

~ The clasp is a spring ring closure, and the other side is an extension chain, so the necklace can be worn at any length between 12" long to 17.5" long

~ Each bow measures 1 3/8" high

~ The earrings mirror the same design! They are clips, and measure 1 1/8" wide and 1.5" high

c. 1940's, in excellent condition with minor wear to the gold plating on the chain; the clasp may be a replacement and works perfectly. A totally fabulous set, and quite rare!
