1960's Mod Polka Dot Enamel Earrings NWS 9-1201 ~ These are THE coolest pierced earrings! Think Goldy Hawn and "Laugh In.... Think Sonny and Cher.... Think "The Mod Squad", and "These Boots Were Made For Walking"..... Think mini-skirts and "flower power" and bell bottoms.... Those were the good ol' days of the 1960's, and these outrageous earrings are a sweet reminder of that whacky, wonderful decade! ~ They are pierced and are, thankfully, made of paper thin metal, so they're light and very comfortable to wear. ~ The metal has been enameled on both sides in pure white, and the fronts have dozens of black enamel polka dots that are slightly raised above the surface ~ The hoops are asymmetrical, so they are narrow at the top and wider at the bottom; they have also been sculpted into a dome shape, so if you place them on a table, they don't lie flat ~ A small brass "jump ring" attaches the hoops to their upper triangles which have been similarly decorated and are also dome-shaped so that they "hug" the ear attractively ~ They measure 3.75"long and 2.5" widest c. 1960, in near mint condition, with no wear to the enamel, they are simply delightful and will brighten your day and all those around you too! Price = $68.00 |
