White Enamel Leaves Necklace & Earrings Set

- Remember those old rules about fashion that we grew up with? "No white shoes after Labor Day". "No white clothes before Memorial Day". "Redheads should never wear red". And on and on.... WRONG!  We've freed ourselves of those boring old rules, and now we wear white all year long (I have a yummy white wool suit that this set would look great with....)

- This set is particularly well made! The white enamel is a soft, pearly white, not a "refrigerator white", and the base metal is goldtone

- Each individual leaf is enameled, and each leaf has a lovely golden outline, creating definition and depth; in fact, the design is not flat! The leaves overlap each other in cascading fashion

- The construction is top quality:   4 sets of leaves form one link, and there are 14 links hinged together (a total of 168 individual, enameled leaves!!) and the curve is built into the design (when you hold it up by one end, it doesn't hang straight down); this construction causes it to lie perfectly at a woman's collar bone. Fabulous!

- Necklace measures just under 17" long and 5/8" wide, with folding clasp

- Earrings measure just under 1.5" long and are for pierced (but any jeweler could switch them to clips easily)

c. 1960's, in excellent condition, enamel is perfect;  there are a few spots on the back of the necklace where the gold plating is lightly worn
