Trifari Morning Glory Fur Clip, Alfred Philippe

NWS 7-1298

~ There's just something about the lovely, flowing design of the morning glories, it's curlicues of vine clinging to a golden trellis, with faux diamond dew drops....  This Trifari fur clip is just superior in every way.

~ Created, of course, by the most famous of Trifari's designers, master jeweler Alfred Philippe, the design patent for which was filed April 29, 1939, and is shown above

~ The base metal is thickly plated in faux gold, and the leaves are enameled in green, with pure golden veins

~ The morning glories are depicted, one in 2 shades of pink and the other in 2 shades of blue - enameling done by hand, mind you!

~ And the stamens, which rise up from the centers of the flowers, are depicted in faux gold set with faceted, faux diamonds

~ Measures 2.25" high and 1.5" wide

~ Signed on the reverse "Trifari", with the crown logo above the "T", and "PAT. PEND."

c. 1939, in superb condition; with the aid of a jeweler's loupe, I can see 1 or 2 flea bites to the enamel, but this clip is in near mint condition, surprising for it's 60+ years! Clip retains perfect "snap" for a good hold; not easy to find a piece of this age in such extraordinary condition.

Price = $235.00, or 1 layaway payment of $94 and 2 payments of $70. Read about the Fabulous Facets Layaway Program here.
