Dangling Czech Glass Beads & Leaves Necklace

~ Right out of the 1930's comes this gorgeous and colorful necklace that our grandmothers might have worn. Jewelry from this decade is often whimsical and flamboyant. Women wore fun jewelry that helped to counteract the gloom of the American Depression and the melancholy world picture. Jewelry from this decade was not yet mass produced, and intensive hand labor was often involved. Thus, many collectors, and lovers of quality jewelry, recognize that bijoux from the 1930's is indeed special. They don't make `em like this any more!

~ A total of  81 Czech glass beads are suspended from a brass chain of engraved links. A single  bead is attached to the chain, and then beneath that bead hangs a cluster of 2 more beads, each bearing a cap of 5 stamped brass leaves. That makes a total of 27 clusters, and 270 brass leaves!

~ And with all that going on, you might think that this necklace would be heavy, but it isn't! It's quite comfortable to wear.

~ The necklace measures 15.75" long and each dangle measures 1.25" long

~ Necklace bears its original brass, spring-ring clasp, in perfect working order
