Coro Enamel & Diamond Trembler Flower Brooch

on Hold

NWS 6-1204

~ Designed by Adolf Katz, Coro's most famous designer, this lovely brooch is absolutely fabulous! It's the first trembler I've found in such great condition which is saying a lot, considering it's 66 years old!

~ The base metal is heavily plated with faux gold, which forms the foundation of the brooch.

~ The stems are "tied" together with a gold plated ribbon that has been pavé set with dozens of faceted, faux diamonds - so lovely.

~ The leaves have been hand-painted with 2 shades of green enamel, while the flowers are depicted in navy blue enamel. Just imagine the amount of labor involved! And what makes this brooch really different is that the designer has left all the edges untouched, so that every detail is outlined in brilliant, gleaming gold.

~ This is a 3-dimensional brooch, so if you place it on a flat surface, the curves of the stems, leaves and flower petals rise up by .5", making it look like real.

~ And here's the best part: the crystal-studded stamens have been set into the flowers, each on its own tiny, invisible spring, so they "tremble" ever so slightly as you move.

~ Measures 2.75" wide and just a tad over 4" high!!

~ Original pin back has swivel-head safety clasp, in excellent working condition. It is not signed but you can see by the patent (above) filed by Adolf Katz, it is definitely a Coro creation.

c. 1940, in excellent vintage condition (near mint), 2 tiny stones have been  replaced.

Price = $265.00on Hold
