Kramer Silver Set NWS 6-616
~ This set comes from the "atomic" design period of the early 1950's, a post war design craze that was popular at the time, and is highly collectible today ~ The bracelet is a spring loaded cuff, so it will fit any size wrist comfortably (you can see the spring at the back of the bracelet in the photo above) ~ There are 9 strands of silver metal, and each of their ends are capped with a silver ball (one is missing, but because there are so many, it's not detectable) ~ The center of the bracelet measures 1.5" wide and tapers to the back ~ The matching earrings are clip-on and measure 1" by 1" ~ Both earrings are marked "Kramer" ~ The set is made of thickly plated rhodium metal ~ This set is featured in the book, The Best of Costume Jewelry, by Nancy Schiffer, p. 71 c. 1950's, slight wear on the inside of the bracelet's spring, which cannot be seen when worn, and is commensurate with its age. Truly a wonderful exqmple of the 1950's Atomic Jewelry era. Price = Who was Kramer? |
