Art Deco Silver Necklace

NWS 6-597

~ This sleek necklace is quintessential Art Deco! An important example of our American history, this necklace was made during the "Machine Age", when Ford Motor Company had just invented the assembly line, and the birth of the automobile was firmly established. You could even be almost certain of actually finding a "filling station" on your way to your destination, as they began to spring up across the country. Chrome was a new metal in the early 20th century This is the only chrome necklace I have ever found, and I believe it is quite rare.

~ Look at the sleek, streamlined lines of this necklace's design! The central motif is made of chrome half moons and squares that are linked together like charms

~ It looks cool with a blue jean shirt, ... or perfect with a dressy sweater for your work day,... and great for a bit of chic evening sparkle

~ Measures 16.5" long and almost .5" wide, and has a folding clasp

~ Tightly woven chain is silver-coated brass

c. 1920, in excellent condition

Price =  $72.00
