Trifari Pair of Ballet Dancer Brooches NWS 5-542 ~ This adorable pair of brooches comes from the series "Ballet Dancers" by Trifari. ~ Each brooch measures almost 2" high and 1.25" wide. ~ The base metal is gold plated, with bezel-set, milk glass inserts for their costumes. c. 1950, in mint condition. The advertisement shown above is from the magazine, "Harper's Bazaar", for Mother's Day, 1950. Two brooches from the Ballet Dancer series are shown in the upper right hand corner of the page, illustrated in the pink glass version. Though this pair is unsigned, their source is confirmed.
