Coppola e Toppo Raspberry Crystal & Pearl Stripe Collar

~ The crystals in this necklace are highly unusual. They're not ruby colored, like they look in the photos. They're not amethyst colored.  I can best describe them by saying they're sort of a raspberry shade, with lilac overtones. I've never seen crystals of this color. They are magnificent! Each of these glass beads has multiple facets all the way around.

~ This necklace is, in fact, hard to describe, because the construction is unique. To say that it's comprised of several rows of beads is the closest I can come. It's more accurate to say that the materials have been woven. That is to say, they have been sewed, by hand, in an intricate pattern that absolutely boggles the mind. The lilac/raspberry crystals form "rows", and, in between each row, are scores of white seed pearls and golden chains. It's all sewn together in an amazing, dazzling conglomeration. Each row in the design widens as it approaches the lower edge of the collar, like an upside-down "V". Again, all these materials were sewn together by hand,... how, I have no idea!

~ The necklace terminates in a hook clasp and crystal-studded extension chain. The necklace sits perfectly at the base of a woman's neck and fans out like an Egyptian collar. Magnificent!

~ Necklace measures a maximum of 15.75" long and just slightly over 2" wide.

~ Signed "MADE IN ITALY BY Coppola e Toppo" on the reverse of the clasp.
