Alpine Ice and Evergreen Emerald Necklace NWS 5-1497 ~ It looks as though these huge chunks of clear, faceted crystals were cleaved by hand out of an icy alpine glacier. Close enough,... for surely these top quality stones are from Austria, homeland of the famous company, Swarovski, purveyor of the world's finest crystals. These faux diamonds are accompanied by equally large nuggets of faux emerald stones, all with hand-cut facets, and all secured into prong settings. Yes, believe it or not, each stone has been lovingly placed, one at a time, by hand. ~ The base metal has been thickly plated with rhodium, which sets off the crystals in an elegant, timeless drama. Timeless, I say, because class never goes out of style. ~ This fabulous necklace measures 15.5” long. Each stone measures .75" high and .5" wide! The necklace terminates with a crystal-topped, shovel clasp. It has a safety chain for added security. High class, all the way.
