~  Most of us have heard of the famous name, Swarovski, the producer of the best crystal in the world. Swarovski gives an award each year, called "Great Designs in Jewelry" for pieces that employ Swarovski crystal stones and beads.  Stanley Hagler has won 11 of those awards!!!

~ This glorious Christmas Tree Brooch is a real celebration of a joyous season! It incorporates literally hundreds of Swarovski crystal beads that have been hand sewn with wire onto a metal backing

~ The leaves of the tree are depicted with hundreds of faux ruby beads

~ On the front of the tree is a garland of clear crystal beads, and on that garland are 6 flowers: each of these flowers has 8 faceted, faux diamond petals, with one faceted, faux ruby at the center of each; all of these faceted crystals have been prong-set by hand!

~ Just above the garland of flowers is a larger flower, with the same design as the smaller flowers, except it has been set upon another set of 5 large flower petals; these petals are hand sewn again, with dozens and dozens of aurora borealis (iridescent) crystal beads - just fantastic!

~ And what Christmas tree would be complete without something special at the top?! This Hagler tree has another flower, larger than the garland of flowers; each petal has been hand sewn with 14 aurora borealis crystals, for a total of 84 - that's 84 beads, JUST on the top! And here, Stanley Hagler has switched the design, so the center of the flower has a prong set, faceted, faux diamond, surrounded by brass filigree petals; then there are another 8 faceted, faux rubies circling the center; this brooch is truly a work of art!

~ The tree itself is depicted standing in a brass basket, engraved with a basket weave design

~ Measures 3" high and 2.75" widest

~ Signed on the reverse "Stanley Hagler N.Y.C."
