Faux Ruby and Iridescent Crystal Brooch

~ No wall flower here!  This magnificent brooch packs a punch of color, with the deep, delicious apple red of fall at in the center, in a round, faceted crystal; if you hold it up to the light, all those facets create a kaleidoscopic effect, so imagine what it would do on your lapel

~ Surrounding the center stone are 15 round, faceted, aurora borealis (iridescent) crystals that mirror colors of pale blue, lilac, green, rose, gold and pink

~ The outer "ring" is formed by faceted, faux rubies: 18 marquis-cut crystals, like petals skirting a flower head

~ The brooch measures 2 1/8" wide

~ All stones are prong-set in goldtone metal

c.1950, in great condition, with some wear to the gold plating on the reverse
