~ More magic from Marcel Boucher. He leaves us spellbound with this fantastic set of golden swags and folds of crystal-laden triangles, so very Retro. Can you believe how beautiful this set is? ~ The necklace is made of 4, gold plated metal chains. There are 4 triangles, or folds, that gather the chains together to form the swags. The two in triangles towards the front of the necklace are slightly larger than the two on the sides. All of them all covered with pavé set, faceted faux diamonds that have been set into rhodium plated metal, a perfect backdrop that makes the stones absolutely brilliant. ~ Each triangle is edged with faceted fuchsia crystals, an unusual and heavenly color! ~ Note the way Boucher - the master - has created these triangles: they aren't flat. They are domed at their centers, and the tips are slightly raised. Just that little touch adds so much grace and motion to the design. ~ The necklace measures 17" long and the swag at the center hangs down another 2". ~ The earrings are clips. The design of the clip is actually a new patent, called "soft touch" and the patent is dated January 8, 1957 (patent no. 2776555 is marked on the clip). The earrings dangle 2.5" long, with 8 golden chains, each one tipped with a golden tear-dropped bead. Earrings are also marked in two places 'Boucher' ~ The necklace is signed "© Boucher 40" on one end of the clasp and '1N7740' on the other.
