Trifari Crystal Bouquet Tied With Ribbon Brooch

NWS 15-1154

~ Simple, elegant and chic, this Trifari brooch is always in style, even after 60 years. Well, obviously, beauty never goes out of fashion!

~ This brooch is completely covered with scores of pavé-set, faceted rhinestones that have been seated in rhodium plated metal

~ This pin contains faux diamonds in various cuts, including marquises, baguettes, and chatons (rounds), in varying sizes. Interestingly, the baguettes have been channel-set along the stem and also in the widest part of the ribbon; this form of setting is referred to as "invisible setting" - because of the lack of prongs - and was invented by Cartier in the early 1930's

~ The brooch measures 1.5" wide and 2.75" high

~ Signed on the reverse "Trifari" and "PAT. PEND." (means patent was pending)

~ Swivel head safety clasp

c. 1940, in near mint condition, all stones original and perfect!

~ Featured in the book, Costume Jewelers, The Golden Age of Design, by Joann Dubbs Ball, p. 111

Price = $145.00
