Art Deco Style Pleated Gold & Diamond Neck Bib NWS 15-1462 ~ The base metal of this necklace has been thickly plated with faux gold, in perfect condition. The marks you see in the photos are just reflections that the camera picked up. The metal looks like a thick, pleated fabric, styled in a perfectly symmetrical, Art Deco style. ~ The center "pleat" is covered in pavé-set, faux diamonds, as are the 2 pleats on either side. The addition is this touch of sparkle enables you to wear this necklace during the day, in a casual setting, or in the evening when you want to have that extra pizzazz. ~ The pleated segment at the center is actually one, solid piece with upward curving sides. At either end, a gold link chain in a brickwork design extends to the back. It terminates with a folding clasp. However, because the oppposing end has an extension chain with several loops, the length is adjustable from 12.5" to 15.5" long. It could easily be made even longer, if you ask your jeweler to add a loop or 2 (most will do this for free). It fits a normal to medium size neck perfectly. ~ The centerpiece measures 4.75" wide and 3" high. c. 1970, in excellent condition, 2 stones have been replaced. No wear to the gold plating.
