Designer Signed Golden & Ruby Snake Necklace & Bracelet Set on Hold NWS 14-1494 ~ This may come as a shock to you, but snakes are positive symbols, and have been throughout human history.
~ Aside from all that, they are just plain beautiful, and things made today with real snake skin costs a fortune. ~ This jewelry is signed with an "A" inside of each snake's head. On the legs of the letter A are wings mounted on each side, like those of an angel. This is an old mark, but in my research, I couldn't find it. If you recognize this logo, please e-mail me. ~ The bodies of the snakes of made of goldtone metal. There are literally thousands of plates that are linked together from underneath, so they are flexible, as any self-respecting snake should be! ~ Both heads bear 2 large, faceted, faux rubies that have been bezel set into gold plated collars. ~ At the bases of each head, and also at the bases of each tail is a collared decoration. The decoration is of human faces, lending this jewelry an Egyptian, or just plain historic flair. Perhaps the faces might be seen on a totem pole, or on the side of an Incan pyramid. These faces are fabulous and lend a whole new level of interest to the jewelry, a hidden mystery! Indeed, you have to examine them closely to realize that they are faces.
~ The necklace measures a total of 20" long. Under its head, there's a clip that allows you to snap the head onto the mesh body, set at any length you desire. ~ Both the necklace and the bracelet have the same width, 3/8" wide. ~ The bracelet has a built-in, flexible curvature, such that it will wrap itself around any size wrist. c. 1950, in excellent condition Price = $298.00on Hold Sets 3 |
