Trifari Swirling Goldtone & Faux Diamond Brooch & Earrings Set

~ This Trifari set of brooch and earrings is simple, yet elegant. If you wear tailored clothing, and your style is chic, not flashy, and your career demands that you look your most professional, this is the set for you!

~ Done completely in thickly-plated, goldtone metal, the brooch has one large, faceted, pear-shaped "diamond" at the top, and is surrounded by marquises, chatons (rounds) and baguette crystals

~ I probably didn't photograph the brooch at the proper angle; it should perhaps be standing upright, making it appear to be a flower of some sort, with a gently wrapping vine

~ The earrings mimic the same design, with baguettes invisibly set along the stem of the flower (the "invisible setting" of stones was a new technique invented by Cartier in the 1930's); earrings are clips and measure 1.25" high and 5/8" wide

~ Brooch measures 2.5" high and 1 3/8" widest

~ All 3 pieces are signed "Trifari" on the reverse, with the crown logo over the "T", and "PAT. PEND."

c. late 1940's, in perfect condition, with all original stones, one or two are mellowing, but only visible under magnification; some light wear to goldwash on high spots
