Jeray Art Deco Streamlined Cones Sterling Vermeil Bracelet

NWS 13-1163

~ "Jeray" is the signature of New England Glass Works, a company in Providence, Rhode Island, the mecca of costume jewelry manufacturing in the late 19th-20th century. New England Glass Works began making jewelry in the mid-1940's, and this bracelet is probably one of their earliest pieces.

~ During World War II, costume jewelers were forced to use sterling silver for their jewelry, as all other metals had been restricted for use in the war effort. That's why this lovely bracelet is vermeil,  making it very easy to date this bracelet. Also, note the streamlined cone-shaped segments, a very Art Deco design element.

~ This bracelet has 36 cone-shaped links, with flat backs so it lies well on your wrist

~ At the center is one large, round vermeil bead, then the cones radiate outwards, in opposite directions, from the center

~ Folding clasp

~ Measures 7.5" long and just under .75" wide

~ Marked "Jeray", in script, and also "STERLING"

c. 1940, in wonderful vintage condition!

Price = $167.00
