Jeweled Parrot on a Diamond Swing, Over 6" long! NWS 12-1283 ~ Isn't she gorgeous? Her lovely, elaborate plumage is represented by a rainbow of gemstone colors: rubies, sapphires, citrines, emeralds, medium deep blues, and, of course, diamonds! ~ Her beak is covered with pavé-set, faceted, faux rubies. She has faux emerald cheek feathers, and one faceted, faux onyx represents her eye. ~ Her breast, throat and head are depicted in dozens of faceted, faux citrines, while her wing has a shoulder of deep blue stones, rubies and faux diamonds. Her wing tips are faceted emerald marquis-cut crystals. Her shoulder and wing are domed to add dimension, so the brooch doesn't just lie flat. If you place this piece on a table, the parrot's curving body rises above the surface by a half inch. ~ Her tail feathers are depicted by long, dangling strands of jewel-studded chains. Brilliant faux diamonds, accompany faceted, sapphire and ruby marquises. Her tails feathers move as you move. ~ All of the very best Swarovski crystals add tons of fire power to this fabulous queen of the jungle. She is gorgeous! ~ The swing upon which she sits is a large, goldtone hoop, at the top of which are more faceted, faux diamonds, in a half circle of graduated chatons (rounds), with the largest stone at the top. ~ All the stones have been prong-set into goldtone metal. ~ The brooch measures just over 6 3/8" long and 2 3/8" wide.
