Juliana Diamond & Aurora Borealis Bracelet & Brooch Set NWS 12-1037 ~ Dazzling! There are 30 faceted, clear rhinestones (not yellow, as they look in the photos) in the bracelet, each cut in the shape of a marquise, and each one has been prong set into a soft colored, faux gold setting. Another 16 of these marquises are set into the matching brooch. ~ Scattered throughout the star-like design are 3 different sizes of faceted, aurora borealis chatons, and there are 12 more clear chatons in the brooch! The brooch has a frame of 16 clear chatons which surround the large iridescent stone in the center. The brooch also has a layered construction, so it is 3 dimensional. And, like the bracelet, the large marquis stones in brooch have open-back settings which refract light in a million directions! The stones look pale yellow, but that is just the camera picking up the color of the gold metal settings. The stones are actually perfectly clear and brilliant. ~ The bracelet terminates in a folding clasp. It measures 7.25" long and 1 5/8" wide. ~ The brooch measures 2.5" across the diagonal. ~ As most collectors know, Juliana never signed her jewelry; it was sold with paper hang tags, most of which have long since disappeared.
