Victorian Revival Goldtone Filigree Brooch

NWS 11-840

- In the late 1920's, Americans looked back on the Victorian era with nostalgia. World War I and the Great Depression made people yearn for earlier, happier times. This brass filigree brooch is an example of the Victorian Revival Period, when Victorian styles became all the rage again!

- The ornate, filigree metal in this brooch is goldtone brass, even though the photo makes it look silver; it is brass and it's in perfect condition

- At the center is a large and very unusual round stone; its outer edge is faceted, and it is concave at the center which is also faceted, causing the brooch to cast a lot of light

- There are topaz crystals, as well as faux emeralds, sapphires and rubies, all in great condition

- Original pin stem with customary "C" clasp

Measures 2.75" wide and 1.5" high

Price = $38.00
