Trifari Diamond & Ruby Morning Glories on Enamel Trellis Bracelet

NWS 11-1206

~ WOW! This bracelet will take your breath away! Not only is it drop dead gorgeous, but it's also an important piece of American design history by Trifari. Note the floral motif: morning glories  growing along a ruby enameled trellis. That is a quintessential Art Nouveau design motif. This is a transitional piece from the Art Nouveau design era to the next, most popular design era,... Art Deco. This bracelet combines both!

~ The bracelet is comprised of 6 rectangular links (see 4th photo above) and each links repeats the same design: the backdrop, or frame, is a red enameled rectangle, on top of which are beautiful blooming morning glories, each with a faux ruby at its center - such a graceful design!

~ Surrounding these voluptuous ruby blossoms are the curling vines and leaves of the morning glories, which are studded with hundreds of pavé-set, faceted faux diamonds

~ The base metal of this incredible work of art has been thickly plated with rhodium, making this brilliant bracelet look like platinum

~ The bracelet measures just a tad over 7" long and slightly over .5" wide; it has a crystal-studded folding clasp that, when closed, is so well disguised that it doesn't interrupt the design. Ahhh, but wait! Here's the Trifari genius at work: each link of the bracelet is joined by a similar, crystal-studded loop, and each of those loops has TWO rhinestones set on top. The clasp, however, has THREE tiny rhinestones on its top, so you'll have no trouble finding it when you're ready to take it off. Now that's smart... But of course! It's a Trifari!

~ Signed "Trifari" on the reverse; the strike is on an uneven part of the metal, so the crown logo didn't take; however, based upon research of the signature, the shape of the "T" indicates a late 1930's to early 1940's origin

~ In excellent condition, and all original!
