Kenneth J. Lane White & Black Enamel Tiger Bracelet NWS 10-1450 ~ "Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!" We're going on a jewelry safari today, so of course there has to be a tiger in the collection! Women collect as many KJL animals as we can, then wear them all together. The effect is stunning. ~ Starting with the goldtone base metal, it is interesting to note that each black stripe of the tiger's "fur" is an independent "cell" outlined in gold. Each cell is then filled by hand with black enamel. The technique is called cloisonné. The outside has then been fired with white enamel to provide contrast. There was a lot of hand work involved in creating this imaginative bracelet! ~ The bracelet terminates at the top, with a 3 dimensional tiger head at each end. Their goldplated mouths are slightly open, revealing their sharp teeth. They want you think they're ferocious! Their eyes and ears are also outlined in gold. So adorable! ~ Like the other animal bracelets from Kenneth Lane's collection, this tiger "by-pass" bracelet tapers slightly to the back, where there's a tightly wound, spring hinge. This is sturdy enough to keep the bracelet secure on your wrist, and it also accommodates any size wrist. At the center, where the tiger heads cross, the bracelet measures approximately 1.5" wide.
~ Bracelet is signed on the reverse "KJL©" c. 1970's, best guess, in perfect condition. It's been a fun jewelry safari, and this is your trophy! Price = $285.00 b3, k-p 2 Who is Lane?
